Your files never leave your browser

ReportSplit processes your Excel files entirely on your device, inside your browser. When you drop a file, it is read into your browser's memory, split there, and downloaded back to you.No file, no cell, no filename is ever transmitted to our servers — we don't have servers that could receive them. This is not a policy choice we could quietly change; it is how the product is built.

What we store on your device

We use your browser's local storage for two things:

• Recipes — split settings you choose to save (sheet name, column choice, file naming). They stay in your browser and can be exported by you.
• Free usage counter — how many splits you've run this month.

Both are local to your browser. We cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Analytics

We use standard web analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how many people visit and which pages they view — page counts, approximate region, browser type. Analytics never sees your files or their contents, because those never leave your device.

Payments

Pro licenses are sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They handle checkout, payment details, and receipts under their own privacy policy. We never see your card details. Your license key is validated against Lemon Squeezy's API; the key itself is stored in your browser.

Feedback

If you use the contact form, we receive what you type (and your email, if you choose to give it) so we can reply. Please never paste sensitive spreadsheet data into the form.
